Humberto Muñoz Castro (born towards 1950) is the man who, in the night of the July 2nd 1994, assassinated the Colombian Footballeur Andrés Escobar.
Escobar, defender of the Colombian selection at the time of the World American, had marked a goal against its camp ten days earlier. This goal had been worth with its team to lose vis-a-vis the the United States, and to be eliminated from the competition.
Returned in its town of Medellin, Escobar was attacked by three men on July 2nd, 1994 at the exit of a restaurant. One of the three men, Muñoz Castro, emptied to him a charger of gauge 38 in the chest before escaping. Castro was the driver and bodyguard of the one of the two Gallon brothers, known for illegal activities and which were with him on the carpark of the restaurant.
