Human Sexuality

The human Sexualité represents the together behaviors which relate to the satisfaction of the needs and sexual desires. The complexity of human sexuality is related to the multiple forms of practices and sexual orientations like to the variety of the legal laws and the social norms which govern it. This reality makes human sexuality a field of social stakes such as the Procréation, the Santé, the Plaisir, the Loi S, the Tabou S, the Amour and of many others. The science which studies human sexuality and its disorders is the Sexologie.

Sexual orientations

The Sexual orientation describes a dominant sexual attraction towards a type of anybody, animal, object or behavior, according to certain precise criteria (sex, age, appearance, etc).

Principal orientations

The Sexual orientation most frequently acknowledged is the Hétérosexualité, i.e. sexual attraction for the opposite sex. Until worms the middle of the 20th century, it was the only allowed orientation as being in the standard by the majority of the human society, the others being described of disease or Perversion. The people not being in the standard are often victims of Ostracisme or persecutions. There were however some exceptions in certain civilizations - to see for example the historical part of the article Pédérastie.

In the companies Occident ales, sexual orientation for the same sex as oneself, i.e. the Homosexuality, is more and more commonly allowed like quite as normal as the heterosexuality. By extension, the same applies to the Bisexualité, or attraction towards the two sexes. In addition, the Asexualité, which indicates the fact of not having any sexual attraction, is recognized more and more like a normal orientation.

The Transsexualisme is not a question of sexual orientation but a question of identity of kind. One (E) transsexual (it) can be very well heterosexual (it), homosexual (it), bisexual (it), or asexual (it). The transsexualism does not affect any the sexuality of an human being. The identity of the kind is determined at the time of early childhood, when the individual is not socialized and thus not subjected yet to the standards and values of the company.

Sexual orientations and attractions others

Other attractions sexual that four quoted above, which can sometimes be described as orientation when they are in a majority at a person, are more often judged as out of the standards being accepted. They then are generally classified in the Paraphilie S. Some are considered deviating or perverse, according to the place and the time: according to the legislations, their application can be regarded as punishable or criminal. The laws and the social norms surrounding the sexual orientation and attraction tend to vary according to the cultures.

Identity of kind

The “social kind” is the identity built by the social environment of the individuals, i.e. “virility” or the “femininity”, which one can not regard as “natural” data, but like the result of extremely strong mechanisms of construction and social reproduction, through education. It with features with the behaviors, practices, roles allotted to the people according to their sex, to one time and in a given culture.

Sexual practices

The sexual practices are varied and do not imply necessarily the coitus and can be practiced only, contrary to the sexual relations which included by definition, two or several people. The sexual practices can cause numbers of communicable diseases via sexual relations. Methods of protections are available in order to decrease the risks. There exist also methods of birth control, in bond with the sexual practices

Practical various

There exists a multitude of sexual practices, being able to be carried out alone, to two, or in group. These practices can be about the Masturbation, of the coitus, the fetishism, the sexual roleplays. These practices can be seen exerted for religious reasons, by taste of the experiment or simply by pleasure. It happens sometimes that a sexual practice in particular becomes the exclusive means to arrive at the orgasm, until creating a sexual problem for the person.
