Huittinen

Huittinen , in Swedish Vittis , is a city south-west of the Finland, in the province of Western Finland and the area of the Satakunta.

Geography

The small town is located at the crossroads of two road main roads: main road 2 connects Helsinki to Pori and the n°12 Rauma with Tampere. An important regional road also joined Turku.

The municipality is largely plane, crossing in north by the river Kokemäenjoki. North is the most wild area, with an end of the National park of Puurijärvi-Isosuo. The South is more agricultural, in particular the valley of small the Punkalaitumenjoki.

The communes bordering are Vampula in the south, Köyliö in the west, Kokemäki in the North-West, but also Äetsä in north and Punkalaidun in the east (Pirkanmaa) like Alastaro in south-east (Finland of South-west).
