Hugues Ier de Thouars
Hugues Ier of Thouars , it is born after 1146 and it dies in 1230. It is the son of Geoffroy IV and Aime de Lusignan.

It succeeds his older brother Aimery VII. He married before 1203 Marguerite de Vihiers, rams of Montaigu (1190-1241), (girl of Maurice II of Commequiers). They did not have children. The mother of Marguerite was called Héloïse of Garnache sister of Pierre V of Garnache, and recueilla the heritage of the House of Garnache.
According to the Files of the priory fontevrist of the MOOR in BEAUCHENE Sallertaine the Vendée, Hugues de Thouars is buried in 1229 in the church of this priory. Marguerite is downward Lords of Garnache. It is very probable that Hugues and Marguerite had a dead child in old bottom, also buried in the same church and whose tomb stone still exists in Sallertaine. (Yves Minuet)
