The Hugonides , or second House of Maine , is a frank chalk-lining which held the county of Maine of the end of the 9th century at the 11th century. It appears to ave the count Roger, who is probably downward pre robertien Rodgar, count of Mans listed in 710 and 724.

After having torn off Maine with the Rorgonides, Hugonides had to waver between the expansionist aimings of the counts d' Anjou, of Blois and later of the dukes of Normandy. The family died out in 1062 with Herbert II, date which announced one period of disorder and feudal anarchy within the county.

On considerations onomastics, one considers that the counts de Laon of the 10th century was close relations.
