Hugo Sperrle (February 7th 1885, April 2nd 1953) is a German field-marshal of the Luftwaffe during the Second world war.
Sperrle joint with the Freikorps at the end of the war, after having left the service of aviation.
In 1935, it enters Luftwaffe, lately created, and becomes there ordering Légion Condor during the Spanish Civil war with Wolfram von Richthofen which is its chief of staff.
It directs the 3rd German air fleet against France in May and June 1940. In July 1940, it is high with the row of Generalfeldmarschall of Luftwaffe. Sperrle advises the destruction of the British Royal Air Force to guarantee the success of the invasion of the England. The 3rd air fleet, stationed in the north of the France, plays an important role in the Bataille of England, of June 1940 until April 1941.
The Sperrle field-marshal is captured by the Allies and is accused of War crimes in Nuremberg. He is discharged there. He dies in Munich in 1953.
