Hugo Broos

Hugo Broos , born the April 10th 1952, is old a Belgian Football or . He is now trainer of KRC Genk.

Hugo Broos begins his career with the KFC Humbeek . At 18 years, it is located by RSC Anderlecht. Very quickly it is essential in the middle of the defense of Brussels which it will not leave any more during 12 years. Also with the Belgian national team, it quickly becomes undeniable (31 selections). Hugo Broos gains three titles with Anderlecht, like four cuts of Belgium and three cuts of Europe. In 1983, it decides to change air and with general stupor, it joined the FC Bruges with which it gains a title and a cut of Belgium.

At 36 years, it hangs up again the cramps and becomes assistant of Paul Van Himst with RWD Molenbeek before becoming principal trainer the following season. Its beginnings are difficult and the club goes down in division 2 before going up the following season. In 1991, it returns to FC Bruges as trainer. It gains two cuts of Belgium and two titles with Bruges before taking leave of the club in 1997. It joined Mouscron before turning over to RSC Anderlecht in 2002. In February 2005, it is laid off because of bad results. It replaces later a few months Rene Vandereycken with KRC Genk.
