Jean Vigo (April 26th 1905, Paris - October 5th 1934, Paris) is a French realizer.

Biography

Jean Vigo is the son of the anarchist Eugene Bonaventure de Vigo, known as Miguel Almereyda (anagram of: there with the shit !), director of the newspapers the social War and the red Bonnet . This anarchistic and pacifist militant joined the camp of the war and patriotism.

Jean Vigo is the back grandson of Bonaventure Vigo mayor of Latour-with-Carol and 1st Viguier d' Andorre.

In 1917, his/her father is reconverted with the Pacifisme after having measured the horrors of the war and is stopped and imprisoned with the Prison of Fresnes. He is known for two films which will influence the future development of the French cinema and mondial : Zero for conduct (1933) and Atalante (1934).

Jean Vigo dies in Paris of Septicémie. He is buried with the Cimetière of Bagneux to Paris.

In 1951, is created in its honor the Prix Jean-Vigo, which often distinguishes from young people Réalisateur S. In 2007, the Festival Punto of Vista, in Spain, will distinguish the best director from his international competition with the first Price Jean Vigo Spanish.
