Hubert de Givenchy

Hubert de Givenchy (born on February 21st 1927) one of the largest French dressmakers, is the creator of the mark of French Haute couture Givenchy.

Audrey Hepburn was her egery and incarnated the mark since 1953 when it designed its costumes for the film Sabrina. Their collaboration was continued on the films Drôle of frimousse , ARIANE , Diamants on settee , Charade , Two Heads insane and How to steal a million dollars . They remained dependant by a very great friendship until the death of Audrey in 1993.

Very inspired by Balenciaga, its work presents aspects of a traditional tradition.

It draws for La Poste French two stamps of St. Valentine's day, emitted in January 2007.
