Hubert Latham
Hubert Latham was born with Paris on January 10th 1883 and died close to Strong Archambault (current Sarh, Chad), on June 7th 1912.
Its first air exploit is a crossing of the Manche in balloon, with his/her cousin Jacques Faure the 11 & February 12th, 1905. In 1906 and 1907, it controls in Monaco, of the boats of Antoinette race. In 1908, it attends the one of the flights of Wilbur Wright and decides to learn how to control on Antoinette monoplane, he becomes even instructor and will have Marie Marvingt as raises. In 1909, it is employed as test pilot of the company Antoinette and it gains several trophies: endurance, distance, speed, height, empochant 50.000 francs with the meeting of Rheims Bétheny.
Its career of aviator ( according to newspapers of the time )
- It started in 1909 with a double attempt of the crossing of the Manche. These attempts made of him somebody of very popular. Twice it tested the difficult exploit, twice it failed, the second time at the port, if one can say, with less than 500 meters of the English coast.
- the first, it flew over a big city from one end to another, while going from Johannisthal to another suburb of Berlin, thus passing above the Prussian capital.
- It is with him that, at the time of the famous meeting of Rheims, was offered, on August 30th, 1909, the sum of 10.000F constituting the Grand Prix decreed by the Small Newspaper, allotted to that of the aviators having achieved with airplanes the most remarkable performances.
- Hubert Latham was still announced to the admiration of the crowd of Blackpool, in England, while flying during a terrible storm. Lastly, on January 7th, 1910, with Mourmelon-the-Large, it continued the series of its flights in height, still beating its preceding records by reaching 1.100 meters of altitude.
- Lastly, on August 13rd, the Parisian ones attended a new prowess of their preferred aviator. Hubert Latham followed banks of the the Seine and doubled the Eiffel Tower, while passing above the Large palace.

He dies in 1912, French equatorial Africa, during a shooting party and is buried with the Havre in 1914.
Its bust is set up in the main street, vis-a-vis the place of the town hall, with Maillebois (Eure-et-Loir). His/her parents had there the castle which is always property of the family.
