Hubert Gignoux

Hubert Gignoux , born in 1915, is a French director and actor

Studying in right and political sciences, it integrates between 1932 into 1939, the road Actors and the Theater of the Uncle Sebastien, of Leon Chancerel. Captive fact lasting war, he remains actor and marionnettist in captivity.

On its return, in 1945, it assembles puppet shows before founding with Henry Cordreaux in 1947 the Company of the puppets of the Fields-Elysées. It is also named national instructor of dramatic art in 1945, and meets Guy Parigot in the training courses for theater amateur which it set up. It then created the dramatic Center of the West in Rennes in 1949, with the Young actors of Parisian, and becomes one of the mainstays of the theatrical Décentralisation conceived by Jeanne Laurent.

In 1957, it takes the direction of the dramatic Center of the East of Colmar, which moves in Strasbourg the following year.

Giving up the theatrical direction in 1971 to become again actor, it plays in Camisards, and integrates the Comédie-Française as a boarder between 1983 to 1986. He made several appearances with the cinema, and interpreted some roles in televisual fictions.
