Hubert Bonisseur of Bath , alias OSE 117 , is a character of fiction created by the French author Jean Bruce (1921 - 1963). After the death of Jean Bruce, the adventures of OSE 117 were written by Josette Bruce, his wife.
The character was an agent of O.S.S. to the the United States. With its dismantling in 1945, it has the rank of colonel within the CIA. Later, it will integrate NSC, under the direction of the Stanford General.
Since 1957, the agent OSE 117 was the subject of many film adaptations. That of 2006 is in fact a Pastiche which makes fun nicely of all conventions of the kind, in particular of the James Bond turned with Sean Connery.
