Huayna Potosí

Huayna Potosí is a Montagne in Bolivia, located at approximately 25 km in the north of La Paz in the Cordillera Real . The top, cover of ice, are one of most beautiful and more famous of the country.

The first rise was carried out in 1919 by the German mountaineers Rudolf Dienst and Adolf Schulze. It is often called wrongly “the easiest 6.000 m of the world”; indeed, it comprises two very sloping corridors of ice, and there exist tops of 6.000 m technically easier to climb. Huayna Potosí can be climbed in two days.
