Huascar
Inti Cusi Huallpa Huascar (in Quechua: Waskhar), or “Wire of the joy” (1503 - 1532) was Sapa INCA empire INCA of 1527 to 1532, succeeding his/her father Huayna Capac and his brother Ninan Cuyochi, both died of variola at the time of a campaign close to Quito. Huascar was sovereign Spanish Cuzco on arrival of the S with the Peru, in 1532.
One of wire of Huayna Capac and a princess of Cuzco, it is indicated by the nobility of Cuzco like successor legitimates with dead of his father, in 1525.
This decision is disputed by the nobility of Quito, which prefers his/her half-brother Atahualpa to him. It follows a division of the Tahuantinsuyu between the two clans. The status quo a civil war succeeds which finishes with the catch of Cuzco by the quiténiens. Huascar is captured and thrown in prison, its clan literally being massacred and being continued.
In 1532, whereas Atahualpa is sequestered by the Spaniards, it orders the assassination of his/her half-brother to make sure of his victory. This act will take part to reinforce the dissensions and rancour between quiténiens and cuzquéniens thus facilitating the rooting of the Spanish capacity in a divided country.
