Huanglong
The Huanglong ( sinogrammes simplified : 黄龙; Sinogrammes traditional : 黃龍; Hanyu pinyin : huánglóng ) is zone of a historical and landscape interest in the Comté of Songpan, in the extreme north of the Sichuan in China. It is in the southern part of the assembly line of Minshan, to approximately 200 km of the capital Chengdu. The place is known for its swimming pools to which concretions of Calcite give exceptional colors, in particular in Huanglonggou (the ditch of the Yellow Dragon ), from where its nickname of Wǔcǎichí (the ponds with the five colors ). Huanglong is registered on the Liste of the world heritage of UNESCO since 1992.
Fauna
The area shelters several threatened animal species, of which the giant Panda and the monkey gilded with nose camus of Sichuan, the brown bear, the black bear of Asia, the leopard, the red panda, the cat of Pallas, the antelope goral, the Mediterranean moufflon, the Lophophore de Lhuys, the Takin, the serow or the red dog.
