Hrishikesh Mukherjee

Hrishikesh Mukherjee is a Réalisateur, Monteur, Scénariste, and producing Indian. He was born the September 30th 1922 with Calcutta, and died on August 27th, 2006 with Mumbai in India.

He was one of the friends of Bimal Roy and Raj Kapoor, he even dedicated two of its films to them: Anupama , and Anand

Biography

It began its career as an assembler, and assisting realizer with Bombay, in 1951. It accompanied during six years Bimal Roy, itself prestigious realizer in India. But, in 1957, it launches out in the realization with Musafir . Raj Kapoor notices it, and to see in him a very large realizer. He will advise it in 1959 for the realization of the feature-length film Anari . This film was a success, as much with the box office, that in criticism.
