Hradčany

The Hradschin according to the French traditional C-W communication resulting from German or the Hradčany (the Czech word is plural), is a district of Prague, originally one of the four Ville S founders of “large Prague”.

It extends on 151 hectares distributed between the districts from Prague 1 and Prague 6.

The main entrance of the castle is defended by a surmounted gate of two combat of giants, thus giving the measurement of the place.

Hradcany is a district on a hill. It includes/understands the Royal palace, three churches, a cathedral, a monastery, and gardens. The dark arches of the Saint-Guy cathedral dominate the castle and the city. It is possible to walk freely in the enclosure of the castle like in part of the cathedral. In that, the castle always respects the democratic ideal of symbol wished by Masaryk. It is necessary to buy a party ticket to have access to the Royal palace, the Saint-Georges basilica and the Gold lane.
