How I Puts Your Mother

How I Puts Your Mother is a Televised series American created by Carter Bays and Craig Thomas and diffused since the September 19th 2005 on CBS. With the Canada, the series is diffused on Global TV. In France, the series is diffused since the February 11th 2007 on Canal+.

Craig Thomas and Carter Bays took as a starting point their friendship to create the characters. The character of Ted is inspired by Craig Thomas and Marshall and Lily de Carter Bays and his wife. The two creators of the series are also members of the group “The Solids”, which plays the music of the credits, “Hey Beautiful”.

The originality of the realization of the series lies in the use of many flashbacks, in each episode. This method requires more scenes than a traditional sitcom. The series is thus not turned in front of a public, although it is carried out according to the rules specific to the sitcoms. The episode is however diffused with a public after it was entirely assembled, and it is at this time that the laughter is recorded.
