Hovertank 3D
Hovertank 3D is a Video game of subjective shooting left in 1991 for DOS. It was developed by the founders of Id Software who worked then for Softdisk.
The play uses same technology as that used in Catacomb 3D or Wolfenstein 3D , but the walls of Hovertank 3D do not have texture and are thus covered with a plain color.
Play
The action proceeds during a nuclear war, the player incarnates Brick Sledge, a Mercenaire engaged by an unknown organization and of which the goal is to save people whose city are the target of an nuclear attack. These cities are also full with mutants and armed guards that the player will have to eliminate.
Polemic
He is often regarded as being the first play of subjective shooting to see the first play in 3D, however these assertions are false, initially, because the first play of subjective shooting is probably Spasim , to leave in 1974, then because there existed already plays simulating a universe in three dimensions managed in real-time, before Hovertank 3D , to start with Elite left in 1987. However, it is probable that Hovertank 3D is the first play to cumulate these two characteristics: 3D and subjective shooting.
