Born with Southsea, Houston Stewart Chamberlain lived in Germany as of the 14 years age: its family had sent there to look after a fragile health. Its German tutor taught him his language and led it to impassion itself for the Germanic culture. Its writings inspired in particular Alfred Rosenberg and Adolf Hitler, one of the rare people present at its funeral in 1927.
