House off M

House off M is a Crossover of which the principal series in eight parts is scénarisée by Brian Michael Bendis and is drawn by French Olivier Coipel. It is based on the dissolution of the Avengers and it mini series Excalibur.

These eight parts are accompanied by several other series bringing of the precise details on the fate by the other characters by the Univers Marvel, like Spider-Man, Iron Man or the Four Fantastic

Summary

The Red Witch alias Wanda Maximoff and girl of Magnéto became insane (it killed part of Avengers without really realizing it at the time of Avengers Disassembled ). But the other problem is the width of its capacities (it controls chaos). The Professor Xavier decides to make a special meeting joining together the New Avengers and the Astonishing X-Men to decide fate of Wanda.

The meeting ended in a sad news, it is necessary to kill the Red Witch. The council thus went to Génosha, where Wanda is supposed being, but there is nobody any more, and even stranger Professor Xavier volitilized and the Doctor Strange it " voit" not. But at the end of a few minutes Emma Frost the reference mark in a kind of church. But Spider-Man is alone in the church. And there a dazzling light arrives.

All are found in a world without X-Men nor Avengers and where the mutants reign with Magnéto, chief of the House of M (House off M), which controls all the governments of the world. But Wolverine remembers our dimension and decides to find which could do that. It will be made help by a girl having the capacity to return to the others the memory of reality: Layla Miller. But is what it will be possible to retrogress? Did the Red Witch change the world forever? Is this its fault or is it makes handle?

It manages to reform a team with Cyclops, Daredevil, Spider-Man,… And while Emma Frost, Layla Miller and the Cape research Professor Xavier, Doctor Strange manages to find the Red Witch. The remainder of the team try to attack Magnéto. The team of Emma finds itself in front of the tomb of Xavier but the Cape says that it is empty and that there is still a hope that it is in life. When Magnéto (which fled of the battle) the attack, Layla Miller gives again her memories to him. Doctor Strange learns that it is not Magnéto which handled his/her daughter is thus changed the world, it is his/her son, Vif-Argent. Magneto, which knows from now on which is at the base of all that, keep silent his/her son. The Red Witch arrives, gives again the life has Vif-Argent and said: " more mutant… "

The world returns to the normal, except that Xavier is untraceable and it does not remain any more that one hundreds of mutant (Magneto and Iceberg for example lost their capacities) and Spider-Man is devastated more émotionellement than ever (in other reality it was married with Gwen Stacy and its uncle Ben was always alive). One only question remains: " Or all these energies passed? "
