House of the Languages of the University of Poitiers

The Maison of the Languages (MdL) created in 1997 is a center of languages within the Université of Poitiers. She proposes formations for certifications (TOEIC, TOEFL, DCL, KEYS), of translation, interpretership and research.

Since 1997, the MdL proposes 7 choices of languages thus (German, English, Arab, Chinese, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese).

She accommodates since the year the 2007 Institut Confucius, organization having for vocation the diffusion of the language and the Chinese culture (course, conferences, penmanship and soon the test of evaluation of Chinese HSK). This Institute is the result of collaboration between the University of Nanchang, the company ZTE and the University of Poitiers.

The MdL proposes a platform of training in line (Moodle) of English free open to the 20000 Students of the University of Poitiers. The formations are also accompanied by teaching supports multi-media and data bases electronics while preserving a language laboratory, audio cassettes and works paper for the least familiar of the computer tools.
