House of the Arsenal
The Pavillon of the Arsenal is the center of exposure of Urbanisme and Architecture of the town of Paris. It is located 4 avenue Morland in the 4 {{E}} district of Paris not far from the Place of the Bastille.
The House is divided into 3 spaces occupying in all 1600 m ²:

the permanent exposure to the ground floor entitled " Paris the city and its projets" allows to discover how Paris was constituted with the wire of the centuries like its prospects for evolution. It includes/understands a model of the town of 40m ² as well as a model of the district of Defense; photographs of the various places of the city are projected.

the 1st stage accommodates temporary exhibitions renewed every 3 bearing months on Parisian architecture

the second stage present of the subjects of topicality such ques projects presented within the framework of contests of architecture launched by the town of Paris
The house of the Arsenal also shelters a small bookstore devoted to architecture as well as an information center with Photothèque and Vidéothèque.
History
The house of the Arsenal, was built in 1879, in the fields of the Clément architect and the spot of an old powder factory (from where its name), for a commercial wood rich person named Bormiche which wished to preserve its collection of tables at it. Transformed thereafter into warehouse then in appendix of the Samaritaine, it was acquired by the town of Paris in 1954. This one made refit the building by Reichen and Robert to make of it the current place of exposure, opened in 1988.
