House of Perkūnas
The house of Perkunas (in Lithuanian Perkūno namas ) to Kaunas is one of the most original monuments of nonreligious Gothic style of Lithuania. In the beginning by the Hanseatic League at the end of the 15th century builds, it was sold with the Society of Jesus who establishes a vault in 1643 there. The building in ruin was rebuilt at the 19th century and was used of school and theater, which attended the Polish poet Adam Mickiewicz. At the end of the 19th century it takes its current name of house of Perkunas, when a comparable figurine at the time with the Baltic god of the thunder Perkunas was found in one of the walls. Today the house belongs to the Jesuits again and shelters the museum of Adam Mickiewicz.
