House of Montfort-on-Risle
The house of Montfort-on-Risle is a family of the Anglo-Norman Baronnage.

Hugues Ier de Montfort, his/her son, lord of Bridge-Authou and Montfort-on-Risle, dies towards 1040 by defending the young duke Guillaume Bastard the, still minor.
Hugues II of Montfort, wire of the precedent, takes part in the Bataille of Mortemer in 1054 then with that of Hastings in 1066. It is Connétable of Normandy then of Normandy and England. Lord of the manor of Dover, it receives 114 Manoir S in England. He dies in 1087.
