House of Ivrée

The house of Ivrée , also called house of the Count Palatines of Burgundy , is a family originating in the edges of the the Saone, which emigrated at the end of the IX {{E}} century in the north of current the Italy where it will obtain the title of Marquis or Margrave of Ivrée of the Carolingian Empire in the area of the Piedmont, carried by several members of this family. After this transalpine episode Ivrée will be fixed in the Comté of Burgundy, from which they will become Count Palatines of Burgundy. A branch junior by the family reaches the thrones of Castille and Aragon.
