House of Coucy
The Maison of Coucy is the name of two families:
-
the first, which draws its origin from a count of Chartres, in 965, was divided into two branches, of which one died out in 1213, and of which the other, which took the name of Coucy-Vervins, still remains.
- the second family, exit in 1213 of Enguerrand de Guines, nephew of the last lord de Coucy, is extinct in 1400 in the person of Marie de Coucy, woman of the count de Bar.
