House of Chevreuse
The seigniory of Chevreuse, after having belonged to the Montmorency and to Claude of Lorraine, passed in 1657, for lack of male heir, with the Maison of Luynes, and the use is established in this family to carry male in male alternatively the titles of duke of Luynes and duke of Chevreuse.
