House of Blois

The Thibaldiens or house of Blois are a chalk-lining resulting from the franque Noblesse, whose principal members prénommèrent Thibaud ( Latin Thibaldus in ).

Heirs to the Viscounts of Blois, Thibaldiens or “house of Blois” accumulated the counties of Blois, of Chartres, of Châteaudun, Troyes, Meaux - as successors of the Herbertiens -, etc, then counts de Champagne, they became also kings de Navarre.

Also controlling the archbishop's palace of Bourges, their power put time in competition with the counts d' Anjou but also with the kings Capétiens of which they encircled the royal Domaine.
