House

A house is a building of intermediate size intended for the Demeure of a family, even of several without being regarded as a Immeuble Collectif.

Description and definitions

The Surface of the house generally lies between 10 and 150  m ², of On a level or with 1 on 3 floors.

In comparison with the French administration, it can be known as Main home, if the occupants reside there more 183 days per annum, and Second home if it intended for the periods of Repos.

If it respects criteria of energy consumption, it is called Maison passivates.

Starting from 1800, the house can be described as villa, a dwelling in a vacation resort. It is a pleasant and comfortable residence in particular decorated garden.

On the legal level, in French right, a House is individual if it is with use of dwelling or mixed (dwelling and professional use) and if it comprises with more the two residences. (law of December 19th, 1990 = article L. 231-1 and following of the Code of construction and the dwelling. The term of architecture " House " was used to indicate the houses to be built, before the appearance of the phrase " House " , antonym of an apartment in a " building collectif".
