L Hôtel of Beaumont is a private mansion of Valognes, more the good example of what Norman Versailles could be the .
On the basis of house old of the Jallot family, lords of Beaumont, Pierre Jallot who inherits it at the beginning of the 18th century, makes build this hotel starting from 1767, by the architect Raphaël de Lozon.
Plundered under the French revolution, the property becomes house of detention then is rented at the city to accommodate the receipt of finances. In 1882, the countess of Aigneaux, Sophie de Mesnildot, sells the residence to Mr. Debains, who becomes then property of the count de Froidefond de Florian. Preserved bombardments of the release of Cotentin, the hotel of Beaumont is one of the last vestiges of the time of Norman Versailles.
Property of the family of Courtils, it was registered in 1927, then classified with the historic buildings in 1979.
