Hotel of Bagis

The hotel of Bagis or hotel of Pierre is located in the street of Dalbade, in the historical center of Toulouse. Jean Bagis (to advise at the Parliament of Bordeaux) repurchased in 1533 five buildings which will transform celebrates it architect Nicolas Bachelier in 1537 in beautiful a Hôtel with court of style rebirth.

In 1608, François de Clary (president of the Parliament) becomes owner of the places. It then builds an imposing carved stone frontage. Shown to have to use stones intended for the construction of the Pont-Neuf, he died in 1616 without seeing the finished stone frontage. Calvet-Besson, new owner in 1857 will finish the work established by F. of Clary.
