The Hôtel Saint-pol. was built by Charles V of France at the 14th century.

History

The Hotel Saint-pol. was the residence of Charles V of France and Charles VI of France. Built on the ruins of a masonry set up by Louis IX of France, Charles V undertook work as of 1361. Of this date with 1364, the king of France, which appreciated the beautiful things, arranged this hotel permanently, by acquiring new grounds. It ordered the construction of new dwellings.
