Hospitalitas

The Hospitalitas is a system of lodging in order to quarter the Roman and then Germanic troops on the territory of the Roman Empire during IVe and 10th century. Thus, when a troop arrives in a place, it requisitions a great property which will be shared in three parts by the officer of the army. The owner of the selected ground the first part, the officer the second and the third is allocated again to the owner. It is only about one division of pleasure and not of property: The property recovers all the parts of its territory at the beginning of the troops.

The first wave of the great invasions (Visigoths, Ostrogoths and Burgondes), pushed by the Huns in direction of the Roman Empire, were also accepted on the ground in this manner.
