Hospital of Marseilles

The Hôtel-Dieu is old a Hôpital Marseilles located close to the Old man-Port. This establishment was used with teaching as medical professions (Sage woman) and ancillary medical (Infirmier S anesthetists, of operating room suite, nursery nurse, auxiliaries of child welfare, manipulators in medical imageries, frameworks of health…) until November 2006.

It owes its current aspect with the work carried out at the 18th century according to the plans of the architect Mansart (nephew of Jules Hardouin-Mansart) then under the Second Empire which dégageat accesses by also destroying the slums which fagocitait the entries and obliged the patients to return on litters or sedan-chairs when they were not autonomous.

At the 12th century century, on this site was the Hôpital of the Holy Spirit (or “Monseigneur Holy Spirit”).
