Hospital of Magenta

The Territorial Hospital (CHT) of Magenta , generally called Clinical of Magenta , is the second hospital from its size of Noumea and New Caledonia, behind the Hôpital Gaston Bourret. It draws its name from the district where it is located at Noumea, to 3 km of the center town. It constitutes the pole " mother - enfant" CHT by accommodating the services of Pediatry, Gynecology, Obstetric and the Maternity.

History

  • 1976 : creation of the private clinic of Magenta.
  • July 1st 1983: repurchase of the private clinic of Magenta by the CHT, which accommodates the services related on the mother and the child who until there were with the principal site of Gaston Bourret. Its capacity is then of 123 beds.
  • 1995 : construction of the center of Hemodialysis and the technical workshops.
  • 2004 : inauguration of the new kitchen, functioning for all the CHT.
  • 2006 : inauguration of the new logistic pole of the CHT which is on the site of Magenta, it gathers the general store and pharmacy.

Figures

  • Capacity: 160 beds, 14 places of hospitalization of day and 13 stations of hemodialysis.
  • Many births: more than 2000 babies are born each year to with it.
