In the universe of Warhammer 40,000, Horus is one of the Primarque S, that of the Luna Wolves , renamed Sons off Horus after the battle of Ullanor to honor the legion, then, after the Heresy, Black Legion . Horus was finally killed by the Emperor in person, at the end of a combat epic. This put in rout the traitors, who withdrew themselves in the Œil of Terror, and saved Imperium. During this ultimate confrontation, Sanguinius, primarque out of the Blood Angels and preferred brother of Horus, was killed by this one. As for the Emperor, it was mortally wounded by the Traitor and is since this day in a state of damning up in the gold throne, between the life and death.
The body of Horus was taken along by the Sounds off Horus in the Eye of Terror, then clone by the other renegade legions following its capture. The Sounds off Horus, renamed Black Legion by Abaddon (captain of the 1st company), were avenged for this affront and removed all the copies as well as the original following fatal raids.
