HorrorPops

HorrorPops is a group Danish of Psychobilly.

Composition of the group

The group is composed of:
  • Patricia with the Song and the Double bass,
  • Kim Nekroman with the Electric guitar,
  • Niedermeier with the battery,
  • Geoff with the guitar,
  • Kamilla and Naomi, Danse use with the burlesque style New .

Beginnings

The group is formed with Cologne, in Germany at the time of the festival Popkom in 1996, following the meeting of Patricia, singer and guitarist of Peanut Pump Gun, and of Kim Nekroman, singer and double bass player of Nekromantix. After being itself discovered a mutual love for the Surfing music, the punk, the Ska and the Rock'n'roll “roll, they decides to assemble a group and exchanges their instruments; then the Niedermeier beater and the guitarist Caz the Clash join them. The formation decides to adopt a sound approaching the rock' roll, that one can associate with the Psychobilly. Later Caz the Clash is replaced by Karsten, the singer of Strawberry Slaughterhouse.

In 1999, the group records two titles: Ghouls and Psychobitches Outta Hell which passes in loop in the bars of Copenhagen. Then, Thousand and Kristina, which worked with Patricia in a company of piercing, join the group as dancers. The group then plays in all the Europe. Then it leaves its first Cd in 2004: Hell Yeah , at Hellcat Records.

The group, to date, did not leave DVD, but it makes an appearance in the film Punk Rock'n'roll Hollocaust . The clip of Take Miss is available on the DVD of Punk Rock'n'roll Hollocaust in no-claims bonus as well as live, and on 10 Punk-O-Rowed (compilation of Epitaph). In addition of others vidéos is available on Internet.
