Horns

Klaxons is a group of psychedelic Pop British or of Electro rock'n'roll.

Musical style

Horns belongs to these groups difficult to place in a well defined category. HMV, for example, qualifies their music of “acid-turnip punk-funk sci-fi” , expression untranslatable. Of their dimensioned on the English site MySpace they it are placed in the category “Psychédélique/Progressive/Pop”. The best definition thus seems to be “New Pop Psychédélique”. It would seem finally that it is the NME which gained the setting, by qualifying the group of New-Turnip, bringing it closer to group like Cansei de Ser Sexy or Hadouken! with which they forms the spearhead of the movement Fluo kids.

Anecdotes

  • Jamie Reynolds, the singer and bass player of Horns broke the leg Saturday, July 21, 2007 while jumping of scene at the end in the concert of the group to the Festival Garden Nef with Angouleme. That forced the group to cancel their passage to the Festival of the Old Plow and to push back their dates in concert in Australia which were to begin on August 2nd with Sydney and to finish with Perth on August 8th, 2007.
