Cornus is a common French, located in the department of the Aveyron and the area the Midday-Pyrenees. Its inhabitants is called Cornusols.
Geography
Located in the western south of the plate of Larzac, Cornus dominates the valley of Sorgues, at an altitude of 630 meters, and counts 377 inhabitants today.
History
Horned, near to the confluence of Sorgues and the brook of Boras, was one of the passages between Rouergue and Languedoc. There were formerly an important industrial activity related to the richnesses of the basement and breeding of the causse (paper mills, spinning mills, tanneries, mills, cellars).
