Klaxon is a trade mark deposited by the company Klaxon Signals Ltd. In the beginning, this company manufactured sound signalling hooters for bicycles and cars as of 1908. At present, the Klaxon company produces nothing any more but fire protection sirens and dependant materials.
The word horn was invented by its first manufacturer F.W. Lovell, according to the Greek word “klazō”, which means “to howl”. From now on, the word Klaxon indicates the sound signalling term hooter commonly . However, the word Horn remaining a registered trademark, the word must thus begin with an initial capital .
