Hormonothérapie

In Medicine, the hormonothérapie is a medicamentous treatment containing different hormones among which the growth hormones and the sex hormones, the thyroid hormones and well of others endogenous molecules.

The hormonothérapie is used in many cases:

Treatment of the problems involved in the Menopause
Treatment of the Syndrome of Klinefelter
Treatment of the Syndrome of Turner
Treatment for the change of sex
Treatment with growth hormones for stage their lack at certain people
Treatment with thyroid hormones against the Hypothyroïdie
Substitution therapy of the Calcitonine following a Parathyroïdectomie
Substitution therapy of the Testosterone for the men having a low level of this one because of diseases or of ageing.

The contraceptive Pilule is a form of hormonothérapie.

Anti-hormonal treatments are also used.
