Horace Jones

Sir Horace Jones (born in 1819 and deceased in 1887) is a Architecte English anobli on July 30th, 1886.

It is particularly known for its achievements as architect of the City of London of 1864 to its death, among which one finds the restoration of the large hall of Guildhall in 1866, the creation of several markets (Smithfield in 1866, Billingsgate in 1875 and Leadenhall in 1881), the bookstore public, the museum, the chamber of commerce and l´école of music of Guildhall.

It is also l´un architects of the Tower Bridge with l ingenior Sir John Wolfe-Barry. The bridge will be finished after its death, in 1887.
