Hooded magi
The Hooded Mages are a fictitious secret organization based with Athkatla, in the imaginary universe of the forgotten Royaumes, decoration of countryside of Donjons and dragons.
The principal work of the Hooded Magi consists to find and destroy the magicians and the wizards deviating . They are completely independent of the Council of the Six which directs Athkatla. Nobody knows their number, nor their capacities, but one knows on the other hand that they have an asylum (named Spellhold) on the island of Brynnlaw, where they lock up the deviating . They are feared in all the Amn and are tolerated by the population which more fears the independent wizards and magi.
