Honore of O

Honore of O is a Belgian artist born with Audenarde in 1961. He lives with Ghent.

Honore of O explores since 1990 a multidimensional plastic language. Its works combine places of exchanges, interactivities and experiments individual.

With objects at beginning unimportant, glanés by-Ci by-there, Honore of O launches out in compositions taking of the complex paces of sculptures which are registered in their turn in surrounding architecture. The whole is encased like nests of dolls, elements of various sizes which one can sew and découdre with leisure. The objects go and come, deploy their tentacles or are folded up on themselves. Although all is held, the spectator must make a choice, to define a route. The installations of Honore of O make think of paintings which overflow of their framework, with sculptures which leave their base to invade space. In the ludic element, the direction of reality always ends up overriding the abstract reflection. Our speculations do not have a direction and are not possible that within the framework of concrete daily reality. The artist treats the least end of pipe folded or calcined like an invaluable object. He does not make any distinction of value.
