Honorary doctor

Honoris causa (of Latin caused , which express the goal, preceded by the genitive of honor, honoris , the honor) is a shortened “honorary” expression meaning today in h.c. . It is especially used for titles of decreed doctors on a purely honorary basis from where the expression honorary doctor .
