Pedro Almodóvar Caballero is a Réalisateur of Spanish Cinéma . It is one of the scenario writers emblematic of the Spanish new wave.

Biography

Artistic youth and first steps

Pedro Almodóvar Caballero was born the September 24th 1949 with Calzada de Calatrava, in the Province of Ciudad Real and the autonomous community of Castille it Manche, in Spain. At 8 years, he emigrates with his family in Estrémadure. It made there its secondary studies which it continues at the Franciscains. At 16 years it leaves its family to settle with Madrid, without money and work, but with a very concrete project: to study the cinema and to make some. Cinematographic career

In 1986, it founds with his Agustín brother the production company " El Deseo S.A." . This one produced ten films following writings and directed by Pedro as well as films of other young realizers. The year 2003 will be one of best for " El Deseo S.A.". Its first film is noticed and, although the young realizer is criticized much at his beginnings, success is growing. Its first films are comedies of a little removed from rim but effective manners. One taxes it with vulgarity but Almodovar will be essential like a figure of the Movida in its country. In 2001, it surprises by changing style with concerning Parle with it . Femmes at the edge of the attack of nerves in 1988 offers an international notoriety and to him All on my mother in 1999 of tens of price and the recognition which goes with. One of its favorite actresses is Victoria Abril that its films imposed as major actress in France.

Its last film, Volver , was also very accepted by criticism as by the public. The main actor is Pénélope Cruz which had taken part in the production of All on my mother . “Since my childhood, I have a relation impassioned with the cinema. I had the vocation very early. I always wanted to make films. As a child, I thought that the actors were the cinema. Later, I discovered that there were many of other elements around them. People, for example who invented a history and told it.
