Holy Week
The Holy Week is, for the Christian , the last week of the Lent or a week which takes seat between the Lent and the Triduum Pascal. It is in any case the week which precedes Triduum Pascal. It starts with the celebration of Palm Sunday and finishes after the celebration of the mass chrismale the Maundy Thursday before the evening which is reserved for the mass of the Sainte Cène (To consult the 3rd edition of the Romain Missal).
The orthodoxe Christians call it the Grande Week . The orthodoxe ones of Romania generally use name Enlightened Semaine ( Rumanian : Săptămâna Luminată) or Week of Passions ( Rumanian : Săptămâna Patimilor).
Correction: Saptamana Luminata is the week according to Easter… that before Easter it is Saptamana Patimilor.
