Holy Libaire

Libaire is holy a Lorraine 4th century martyrized with Grand. It was, according to the legend, decapitated in 362, like her brothers Élophe and Euchaire, on the order of the emperor Julien the Apostate who came to restore the pagan worship in Gaulle. All three belong to the saints céphalophores (holy Denis, Saint Livier). There is of it a first mention written towards 1035.

Sainte Libaire is venerated initially with Grand, but also with Rambervillers, Lépanges-on-Vologne.
