Anecdote
A local legend would like that Napoleon Bonaparte was born and passed part of its childhood to the manor of the commune. This manor belonged to the woman of the count de Marbeuf, governor of Corsica and undoubtedly lover of Laëtitia. Moreover, the register of the births, then held by the clergy, belonging to the collection of the Public library saw one of its pages torn. It is thus today impossible to check the veracity of these remarks. In addition, the register of the births of Ajaccio underwent the same fate at the same date, that of the supposed birth of the future emperor. Let us specify that the count de Marbeuf dealt much with Napoleon during his childhood; from where another assumption: in was he the father? With regard to the first name " Napoléon" difficult to elucidate, it is the priest of the parish of Holy-Sap which would have suggested it with his/her Läetitia mother: " since your son was born in the Leon, you will give him a Breton first name: Mabaléon, in French: the son of the Leon. Of return to Ajaccio, Laëtitia would have given a French consonance to this curious first name by transforming it into Napoleon.
All the same, an formal evidence of the presence of Laëtitia Bonaparte to Holy-Sap: after its death, tickets of diligence to its name, and for this destination were found in its residence.
